Here in the mountains of St. Anton am Arlberg you can explore the spectacular alpine setting with majestic towering mountain peaks, grass-covered mountains, pristine valleys, crystal-clear alpine waterfalls, and idyllic alpine pastures.
Enjoy the beautiful setting along approximately 300 km of hiking paths and take some time to relax at one of the 30 rustic alpine huts and snack stations.
Here in St. Anton am Arlberg you can already start your hike at an elevated position of 1.300 m above sea-level. And if you want to start your hike at an even higher position, take the lift to the top station and start your adventure from there. Make use of your St. Anton Summer Card, which allows you to use the lifts for free as one of the many benefits.
Hikers, mountaineers, and climbers can choose from the many different tours and routes on all levels of difficulties. Experienced mountaineers always rave about the challenging and spectacularly beautiful via ferrata in St Anton.
The new circular hiking trail “Mutspuren“ (transl. “Trail of the Brave”) offers guests, and especially families with children, the unmissable opportunity to explore an exciting hiking route starting from the mountain station of the Galzigbahn lift. Hike past small ponds, large alpine lakes, numerous activity stations, energizing rest areas, Morse-code stations, and many more in this stunning setting. The Galzig- and Valluga- lifts run every day of the week and comfortably transport you to the start of this trail.
Summer in the Verwall mountain range offers guests the “Sagenhaftes Verwall” (transl. “Mythical Verwall”) with many wonderful stories to discover along the way, which are always appreciated by guests of all ages. Take some time to rest up in one of the lovely spots along the way and read all about local folklore and myths of this charming region, such as the stories of the “Schnann Draher”, “The Stubenegg Witch”, or “The Treasure on the Arlen”.
After an exciting hike you can take some time to enjoy a delicious snack or Tyrolean speciality at one of the lovely alpine huts, relax in the sun, take in the stunning scenery, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the St. Anton Alps.
